Summer in the Lovely sunny south east

Categories Dancin' In The Rain

This summer I decided to hang about and explore closer to home. Some spots are by now old favourites, but with Milo and lovely walks in mind I found some fabulous new gems to add to my list this Summer.

Hook  lighthouse, Hook peninsula, co wexford

Tomnafinnoge Woods, Tinahely,
Co Wicklow

Gorgeous river walk through ancient woodlands of giant oaks. Ten minutes up the road you have the lovely located Tinahely Village, where you can have a cuppa in the Farm shop cafe or brows through their assortment of unusual vintage and antique gifts. Bliss.

Raven Nature Reserve (Curracloe Forest/Raven wood)

Gorgeous pine and evergreen forest that runs parallel to lovely Curracloe beach. There is a walking trail but Milo and I like to veer off into the forest and scoot down the dunes, where even in the height of summer you can find a quiet spot on this stunning 7 mile long beach. Heaven.
