This summer I decided to hang about and explore closer to home. Some spots are by now old favourites, but with Milo and lovely walks in mind I found some fabulous new gems to add to my list this Summer.   Hook  lighthouse, Hook peninsula, co wexford https://www.hookheritage.ie/events/ Tomnafinnoge Woods, Tinahely, Co Wicklow Gorgeous river walk through ancient woodlands of giant oaks. Carlow is such a seriously underrated county, often confused with Cavan or some place in Co. Kilkenny? Once known as the most gentrified county in Ireland, evident in so many beautiful country houses. It really has so much to offer, great location in the Sunny Southeast, a wealth of cultural heritage, lush fertile land, pretty villages. Rediscovering it over the last few years and   introducing it to so many friends (especially the doubting Dubs😉) has been one of my greatest pleasures. https://www.carlowtourism.com/site-assets/uploads/Carlow-through-the-waters-6.pdf https://www.discoverireland.ie/Arts-Culture-Heritage/duckett-s-grove-and-walled-gardens/48714 https://carlowtourism.com/borris-2/ https://barrowvalley.net/st-mullins/…Continue Reading “Follow me up to Carlow”

A big thank you to my wonderfull, kind, considerate friend Mary Crowley for an incredible night. Mary knew that I really wanted to see Fleetwood Mac with my siblings as we never get to spend much time together. The tickets were sold out but while I was in hospital having surgery they announced an extra date. Mary bought us all tickets, what a very special night, such wonderfull memories to cherish. Thank you Mary x

So with Milo in tow off we went on a little Maritime adventure. What a stunning area, great for watersports and walking….Continue Reading “Graiguenamana/tinnahinch”
